Al‑Tahhan’s Factories
First: Cooling and Storage Units
The factory includes large-scale cooling refrigerators with a storage capacity exceeding 2,000 tons. Natural dates of all types are stored at ideal temperatures ranging between 5 to 10°C. The dates are arranged inside the refrigerators in a scientific and organized manner to ensure the preservation of their quality and nutritional value for the longest possible period.
Second: Modern Production Lines
Al-Tahhan Dates Factory features advanced production lines through which dates pass through a series of precise stages to ensure optimal purification and sterilization. These stages include:
- Washing Vibrator: Used to remove impurities and dust particles stuck to the dates.
- Sorting vibrator: used to accurately sort dates based on size and quality.
- Manual and automated cleaning stage: to ensure the removal of any remaining contaminants.
- Hot steam washing: used to eliminate bacteria and microbes.
After that, the dates are placed into a dryer with a capacity of 5 tons, where they are exposed to continuously circulating hot air for approximately two hours at a temperature ranging between 60 to 80°C. This process helps convert disaccharides into monosaccharides that are easier to absorb and digest, while preserving the softness of the natural fibers and stimulating the release of the waxy substance that gives the dates their fresh appearance.
Third: Certified Quality and Health Control Standards

مزرعة الطحان It is one of the leading agricultural projects, spanning an area of 180 feddans in the northern part of Al-Kharga Oasis, along the Al-Kharga–Asyut road. It is considered one of the largest integrated agricultural projects in the region, combining traditional farming with modern technologies to provide the best agricultural and natural products. 1. Greenhouses:
Al-Tahhan Farm includes a set of agricultural greenhouses designed to improve production quality and provide an ideal growing environment. These greenhouses include:
● Mulberry leaf greenhouses:to feed silkworms, which are used in the production of natural silk.

2. Silkworm breeding laboratory
The silkworm breeding laboratory is considered one of the best in terms of sterilization and care standards, as it applies proper scientific and health-based practices in breeding the worms. 3. Silk laboratory
The silk laboratory at Al-Tahhan Farm operates to ensure the proper and high-quality production of natural silk extracted from silkworms.
4. Palm Farm
Al-Tahhan Farm includes around 7,500 date palm offshoots, with the capacity to accommodate up to 13,000 offshoots across 150 feddans. The natural dates are cultivated in an ideal environment to ensure high quality.

The farm contains date storage refrigerators with a capacity of up to 1,500 tons, allowing us to store dates safely and freshly for extended periods while preserving their nutritional value.
6. Fish farming station
The farm includes a fish lake covering an area of one and a half feddans, with a capacity of 50 tons of tilapia fish. This lake is not only used for fish production but also plays a role in the organic fertilization of vegetable and fruit greenhouses, as well as palm trees. This contributes to improving agricultural production without the use of any pesticides or hormones.
7. Horse stable
Al-Tahhan Farm includes horse stables dedicated to the breeding of purebred Arabian horses, along with the import of top-quality breeds from around the world. This enhances the farm’s position in the field of luxury horse breeding.
8. Transformed Dates Processing Hall
The transformed dates processing hall is equipped to offer innovative products made from natural dates, such as dates stuffed with fruits or coated with chocolate, while preserving the original quality of the dates.
9. Salt cave
The farm features a pure salt cave, which is used as a therapeutic method to help relieve psychological disorders such as depression and stress, as well as offering medical benefits for treating skin and respiratory conditions.
10. Product showroom and rest area
